To celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America, the City of Laramie is hosting a volunteer initiative to honor hard working volunteers and get residents involved in the City's many areas of work. Individual volunteers who accumulate 100 all time volunteer hours or groups of volunteers who reach 250 volunteer hours by the 1st of July will be recognized on the 4th of July at the City's annual Freedom Has a Birthday event and presented with an award for their hard work.
